Round 1 – NES Sports Series

Round 2 – Drunken Masters (fighting game characters that use drunken fighting styles)

4. After three years of searching for the legendary drink Genra, this master somehow ends up in a fighting tournament. Brad Wong (Dead Or Alive)

5. In one timeline this masters’ greatest student was murdered through the forming of a deadly alliance. Bo’ Rai Cho (Mortal Kombat)

6. The ending for this master shows him ignoring his granddaughter to gorge himself on barrels of “White Lotus Ferment Bee.” Drunk Master (Martial Masters)

Round 3 – Duty Calls (the Call of Duty Franchise)

7. These two men famously left Activision after a dispute over Call of Duty and tried to regain control of the franchise after they “respawned” at their own development studio. Jason West, Vince Zampella

8. This character has seemingly defied time by appearing in multiple Call of Duty games, spanning more than 70 years apart. Captain John Price

9. This phrase appears after the end credits in Call of Duty 2, a reference to the number of dead animals seen during the Normandy missions that were featured in the game. “No cows were harmed in the making of this game.”

Round 4 – The Super Tough Pink Puff (The Kirby Franchise) In honor of the release of Kirby’s Return to Dreamland

10. This Breakout style game had Kirby bouncing around a level trying to take out blocks and enemies by running into them. It was different in that it had paddles on all four sides of the screen, rather than just the bottom. Kirby’s Block Ball

11. This game sees Kirby cut into four different Kirby’s by a dark version of Meta Knight. It’s probably most notable in that it is the only game in the franchise which does not feature and appearance by King Dedede. Kirby & The Amazing Mirror

12. This was the first game in North America to feature “mad Kirby” on the cover, a trait which has continued for every game since then. Before that every game featured a happy Kirby on the cover. Kirby’s Air Ride (October 2003)
