Round 1 – The Music Round

Round 2 – Supporting Characters

4. This college student and First Daughter was kidnapped, taken to a village somewhere in Europe where she was to be infected by a deadly plague and used to carry out the plans of a mysterious cult before being rescued by a member of the Racoon City Police Department.  Ashley Graham from Resident Evil 4

5. This character’s given name is a pun on the phrase “Miles Per Hour”. His occupation is generally known to be a mechanic and he has actually been a playable character in a number of games since his first appearance back in 1992.  Miles “Tails” Prower from the Sonic the Hedgehog series

6. Before becoming a member of Delta Squad in the army of the Coalition of Ordered Governments this character had a career in a sport known as Thrashball. He would save the other members of his squad from an ambush by Locust soldiers.  Augustus “Coletrain” Cole from Gears of War

Round 3 – Before They Were Famous

7. Before he took a job in the video game industry in 2003 this man held a position with Proctor & Gamble, served as the Head of Marketing for Guinness, and was the Senior Vice President for Panda Management Co (Chinese Food Company).  Reggie Fils-Aime (He also served as the Director of Marketing for Pizza Hut and was the Senior Vice President at VH1)

8. Before creating his first game in 1984 this man, along with his partner Rick Doherty, competed in, and won, an illegal cross country race called the U.S. Express. He drove from Brooklyn, NY to Santa Monica, CA in 33 hours and 39 minutes.  Will Wright (Raid on Bungeling Bay was his first game and was designed for the Commodore 64. It would later be ported to the NES and the Sony MSX)

9. At the age of 14 this man, while attending Shawnee Mission East High School in Kansas City, broke into a school to steal a number of Apple II computers and was sentenced to a year in a Juvenile Detention Facility. He would go on to help create one of the first and most popular games in the first person shooter genre. John Carmack (He helped co-found id Software developing Doom and Quake, where he still works today.)

Round 4 – Star Wars Games

10. This Star Wars fighting game was released in North America in 1997 and has a title, that while grammatically incorrect is Finnish for ‘steel hand’.  Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi

11. This game that spanned the length of all three Original Trilogy movies had the player controlling both Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles in their fight against the Galatic Empire. It was developed by Factor 5 and was a launch title for the Nintendo GameCube.  Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader

12. This game, set between the events of Episodes II and III was most notable in that it did not feature Jedi as a playable character. Instead it was a first person shooter designed with the Unreal Engine and used game play elements from popular games like Halo, Rainbow Six and Metroid Prime.  Star Wars: Republic Commando (Recharging health from the Halo franchise, Context based squad commands similar to Rainbow Six and an in helmet HUD similar to Metroid Prime)
